Our client is looking to add experienced Physical Therapists Assistant to its growing practice. This position would provide therapy services for pediatric patients in their homes and daycares in Stanley and Montgomery County North Carolina.
Physical Therapist Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
The idea candidate will have a minimum of one (1) year of experience working with pediatric patients and have an active NC PTA license.
Review patient medical history
Develop and implement physical therapy treatment plans and services
Establish timelines, tasks, and medical needs of patient
Analyze the best exercises and activities to help patient reach goals
Develop plans for patients with ongoing pain and chronic conditions
Record patient activities, progress, and improvement
Maintain clinical records of all patient care; fill and document for insurance billing
Educate patient and patient’s family on special equipment, care, and/or needs
Develop discharge plan and make referrals for additional resources
Physical Therapist Requirements and Qualifications
Physical Therapist Assistant, Registered (PTA) License.
Continuing education classes for maintenance of certification
Meets all state licensure requirements
Previous experience working with pediatric patients
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Adaptable, flexible, and able to make quick decisions when plans change
Creative and innovative thinker and planner
Encouraging to patients and staff; able to mentor and lead
