Job Description: We are seeking a Practice Administrator that will work closely with the physician, staff to direct, lead and oversee the day to day operations of the office practice.
Hours: Full-time position, Monday thru Friday business hours, TBD. *No holidays or weekends.
Planning, organizing, staffing, managing and controlling the operations of the practice.
Supervise all personnel; motivate staff to perform their duties to the best of their abilities.
Responsible for overseeing day-to-day functions and administrative business operations of the practice, including scheduling patient appointments, patient data collection and ensure its integrity.
Managing and participating in billing and Revenue Management, including insurance processing, over the counter collection of fees and bank deposits.
Prepare office for smooth, efficient, daily operation.
Monitor and ensure that all expenditures are within budget guidelines.
Develop, implement and maintain office polices and procedures.
Ensure the proper safeguarding and maintenance of all office medical records and that the office is in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Physician enrollment with insurance participation and hospital privileges.
Responsible for regulatory compliance.
In charge of physical properties of office in good state of repair, monitors security policies of office.
Experience and Skills Requirement for Position:
High School Diploma a must; A bachelor’s degree is a plus but not required.
2 year’s relevant experience in a medical office setting as a manager, is required.
Strong knowledge in electronic medical billing and collections, coding and revenue management.
Must be familiar with Time Keeping – Payroll (Paychex, ADP etc.) / Office Staffing and Recruiting.
Accurately processes human resources paperwork as well as dealing with employee management on a daily basis.
Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records including billing software and CMS Meaningful Use requirements.
Supervisory experience and excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patient’s, employees and the public.
