Senior Multi-Family Development Project & Construction Manager
Our real estate and management group in Altamonte Springs FL, is currently looking for a senior project and construction manager to join them due to current project manager retiring. This group specializes in developing, building and managing market rate tax credit communities for students and families.
This position is responsible for overseeing the developing, planning and construction of market rate and Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) multi-family residential projects. This is a senior level position.
Plan, oversee and supervise construction project progress and provide timely reports on such, including on-site staff.
Develop the project program, project proformas, budgets and schedules.
Obtain entitlements (State, City, Regional, Planning, Public Works, Building, Utility, etc.), including public presentations to public approval bodies.
In depth understanding of building codes and other design requirements to the extent necessary for projects.
Regular travel to project sites in multiple Southeastern states will be required.
Maintain positive relationships with city commissioners and local officials to aid in facilitating build process.
Participate in response to RFP’s and RFQ’s as needed.
Management of consultants and/or internal design-build process to achieve targeted project construction budgets, schedules and quality standards.
Represent the company during the design-build and construction phase when lead by contractor or in collaboration with development team.
Work with development team on review and approval of consult and construction change orders and secure all required government permits and approvals.
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in construction management
Read and understand plans, blueprints and specifications.
Ability to manage a team
Ability to work both independently and with a team
Public presentation skills
Working knowledge of construction laws and practices
LIHTC Certification preferred
Project Management Professional preferred
LEED AP preferred
Must have thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations
10 years of previous experience is required and a minimum of 3 years working with multi-family residential construction projects. Preparing, tracking and reporting of multi-million dollar budgets. Previous supervisory experience is required. Desire to work in a diverse, entrepreneurial company and environment.
