Our growing company is looking for an experienced commercial service electrician to join us. Once on our team you will be responsible for the servicing the electrical wiring and components in commercial facilities throughout Central Florida as well as supervising and training electrician assistants or helpers on the job.
Read blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned tasks.
Remain in compliance with the National Electric Code at all times.
Perform underground slab installations using PVC conduit.
Layout electrical for rough in per approved set of electrical plans.
Rough in / install low and high voltage boxes, recess cans, conduit, electrical wiring, load centers, disconnects and do all terminations per approved set of electrical plans.
Trim out / install all receptacles, switches and light fixtures, hook up all equipment such as water heaters, AC equipment, disposals, dishwashers and breaker out all interior and exterior load centers and disconnects.
Exterior Service and interior panel change outs for commercial buildings.
Run MC cable and bend EMT conduit from ” to 2″
Test and trouble shoot live circuits form 120v to 480v.
Call in all material, returns and inspection requests daily.
Turn in all material and scrap wire in to warehouse when complete with job.
Timely complete all job paperwork and record material utilized on jobs.
Collect from customers for COD calls
Clean job site daily.
Clean, wash and make sure maintenance is completed for company vehicle.
High school diploma / GED required
4 years minimum experience of running your own service truck.
Demonstrate knowledge and skills needed for a commercial service electrician.
Must have acceptable driving record with a minimum of 3 years driving experience.
Must have your own tools and testers.
Must have 3 phase experience, can work on 3 phase equipment and load centers.
Be able to run MC cable and bend EMT conduit from ” to 2″
Motor control experience a plus
Use sledge hammers (10 lbs.) to drive ground rods.
Lift (up to 100 lbs.)
Bend, stoop, and climb or crawl for extended periods of time.
Balance on ladders or scaffolding while performing
Carry, set up, climb and maneuver materials on 8′, 10′, 12′ stepladders up to 26′ extension ladder and A-Frame ladders.
Hear possible dangers.
Read and write in language of the land.
Comprehend instructions, both written and verbal.
Dig trenches by hand in difficult environments.
Walk over rough terrain and up stairways.
Wear tool belt all day.
Be available to work extended hours, when required
Work in all types of environments (extreme hot or cold weather, wet or dry conditions).
Work in confined areas.
Work at elevated heights.
