We are currently in need of a houseperson for our hotel located off of International Dr. For this position, you will be responsible for keeping all corridors and public areas in accordance with all housekeeping procedures and standards and safety and security rules and regulations to ensure guest satisfaction.

Job Description

Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift; remove newspapers and service trays, empty ash urn receptacles, remove trash and/or linens and note any areas that need immediate cleaning. (25%)
Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following safety and security procedures and regulations to include but not limited to: hallways, elevators, service areas, stairwells, etc… (50%)
Remove soiled linen, terry and trash from the service areas and take to the appropriate locations in the prescribed manner. (10%)
Aid section housekeepers as needed (i.e. bed boards, roll-ways, etc.). (5%)
Report any missing/found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the Senior Housekeeper. (2%)
Receive assigned section, keys, supplies and any priority requests from the Senior Housekeeper. (2%)
Respond at all times, in a friendly, helpful and courteous manner to guests, managers and fellow associates.
Self-starting personality with an even disposition Can communicate well with guests
Ability to meet standards of appearance
Must be able to communicate in English
Prior housekeeping experience desirable
Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying Describe the type(s) of required lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying to include objects, weights and frequency.
Pushing vacuum down entire length of hallway, carrying supplies from department to assigned floor, carrying dirty linen to laundry shoot, removing room service trays and carrying dirty dishes to service area.

Compensation and benefits
Hourly Pay of $10 an hour
This position is a temp to hire. After 6 months you will be a perm employee with access to all benefits
